About me:
I am a paleoanthropologist, independent consultant, podcast host, creative and strategic thinker, writer, science communicator, and educator dedicated to teaching the public about science in an inclusive manner.
I’ve spent my life following my curiosities and exploring the natural world. My research is in paleoecology, taphonomy, osteology, and human evolution. I incorporate paleoecological, morphological, and taphonomic methods to address questions about human-environmental interactions and the mechanisms driving human behavioral and evolutionary change. I am an active member of the Gona Paleoanthropological Research Project and have been conducting research in Ethiopia since 2010.
I’ve also spent most of my life involved in productions. I started acting, singing, and dancing at about eight, went to a regional high school for the arts, and took video production, production management, and stage make-up classes. I’ve been a director, actor, and producer for multiple community theater events and have sold out tickets to every event I’ve ever produced. In graduate school, I learned the joy of blending my interests through creating educational outreach events.
As an independent consultant, I can provide expertise in grant writing, project management, event planning, science communication, and community outreach. Contact me for rates and availability.
